A programmer at Qualcomm, Haehnichen has since become one of the most
prolific writers of DC260 scripts. His most popular script is the
STARTUP Script, which allows you to change the default settings for
certain features at power up. His FASTCAP script takes pictures as
fast as the camera can. But, his "most fun script" is WEBPAGE, the
one that automatically creates an HTML file right onto your COMPACTFLASH
Card.
So far, Haehnichen has captured over 3,000 pictures with his DC260.
He says digital frees him up to experiment and take pictures he ordinarily
wouldn't with traditional film. On the weekends, he has turned his
hobby into a part-time job, taking pictures of California real estate
for an on-line broker in Texas. He also belongs to SoCal DSM, where
he uses a digital camera to document engine and other custom modifications.
"I've been following Kodak for a long time and I'm a big fan.
Each camera that I bought introduced a new level of image quality
and sophistication. Before I bought the DC260, I looked at Nikon
and Canon, but the DC260 resolution was head and shoulders above
the rest. Overall, Kodak definitely has a better product. They are
great innovators."
